Mobile Adaptation
The goal was to enhance the visuals, and user experience, and provide a seamless transition from the web version to mobile device (a context-aware experience).

Note: I am outlining a high-level approach, showcasing decisions related to previous design, system architecture, and major functionalities.
Assess current design
While the Home screen prioritizes the primary task which is to address the pending actions, however, the information layer can be optimized to better suit mobile users and display additional features, particularly the ones that are used most frequently.

Process
While assessing the old design and designing a new experience, I followed 8 goals of Mobile UX and principles of mobile interface design. Reference Link

I divided the information based on two key aspects:
Respecting User's Attention
Sociable
Pending Actions: Only overdue and near-due tasks are displayed upfront.
Stats: To draw attention to your module-based performance indicators.
'+' Button: Make actions quickly accessible to you.
Meetings: Attend calls on the go.
Social: Connect with your peers
Celebrations: Send good wishes to your colleagues.

Design
A. Home Screen

High-priority actions requiring immediate attention are prioritized at the top, stats to get a quick overview of the modules, participating in meetings, and taking calls while on the move.

Social posts shared amongst peers.
Updates on Birthdays and Work anniversaries of your peers.
B. Menu and Search

The menu shows a snippet of your profile and below it, you have Inbox to view conversations, Org Directory to find people, Help to access customer care, articles, and option to log out.

Clicking on the profile snippet takes you to the detail screen where you can see additional information.
C. Updates and Search

Updates notify you about activities happening around you in your company. You can also filter them by modules (at the top).

Search includes a search bar, provision to head to a specific module, and your top 3 recent searches.
D. Social and Directory

Social shows all the posts shared in your company. You can also create a post from the '+' button and share it with your colleagues.

Org Directory displays the list of all your peers and some additional actions that you can take such as initiating a conversation, calling, praise, or feedback.
Learning
Working on the Mobile version provided me with valuable insights. While the overall process remains the same across platforms, however, mobile platforms differ from desktop and laptop platforms due to the specific context in which people use them. This, therefore, changes the way the information is perceived and thought through.
